Can early pregnancy cause pimples?

Ever since I found out I'm pregnant, my skin has gone crazy and I'm breaking out with pimples, especially on my chin. I had clear skin before. Is it common for early pregnancy to cause acne or pimples?

Oh babe, totally! Hormones are going wild right now, so breaking out is super common. Don't stress too much about them, they usually clear up on their own after the first trimester.

My wife looked like a teenager again with all those sudden pimples in her second month! We thought we were done with acne decades ago. Just laugh it off, it's just the hormones playing games.

I have suddenly got painful cystic acne on my chin and jawline. Is anyone else also experiencing this so early? I hope it doesn't leave scars.

Don't run to expensive skin clinics for acne treatments now. Most of those costly creams aren't even safe during pregnancy. Save that money for your upcoming scans and stick to basic, gentle soap.

Yes, progesterone increases sebum production, which clogs pores. Just wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser and avoid strong salicylic acid products without your dermat's okay.
