Can drinking alcohol affect a pregnancy?

My husband and I are trying to conceive, and I'm really careful about what I eat and drink. I'm wondering if even a small amount of alcohol can affect a pregnancy, especially in the very early stages before one even knows they are pregnant.

Yes, absolutely, it can seriously affect the baby's development. It is highly recommended to completely avoid alcohol during all stages of pregnancy.

It definitely affects the pregnancy and the growing baby. Just like how I have to strictly avoid sugar to protect my health, pregnant women need to completely stay away from alcohol to keep the baby safe from developmental issues.

Alcohol is very harmful during these times and must be avoided completely. In our families, we focus on healthy milk, fresh fruit juices, and light coconut water to nourish the mother and child. Please take care of the body and avoid such things.

Please be very careful, alcohol can lead to severe complications. I had a difficult pregnancy myself due to other health issues, and I know how fragile things can be. If you have already consumed some, please talk to your doctor immediately and be honest with them.

There is no safe limit for alcohol during pregnancy, period. It directly reaches the baby through the placenta and can cause permanent developmental damage. It is best to avoid it entirely until the baby is born.
