Can diabetic retinopathy be reversed with diet?

My mother was recently diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy, and she is very worried about losing her eyesight. She is strictly following a new diet plan recommended by her nutritionist. Can diabetic retinopathy be reversed with diet and proper sugar control?

We went to Shankar Nethralaya for my father's eye checkup. The doctors there clearly said that while a good diet keeps blood sugar in check to prevent further damage, it cannot reverse the physical changes in your retina. Please consult your doctor for a proper plan.

Eating green leafy vegetables and cutting down on sugar helps control diabetes, which indirectly protects your eyes. But diet alone won't reverse existing blood vessel damage in the eyes. You need medical treatments like laser or injections for that, so see a specialist.

The thought of vision loss because of sugar levels makes me so anxious! Diet is very important, but I don't think it can magically cure retinopathy on its own. Please don't take any chances with your eyes and consult a doctor immediately.

If eating carrots and spinach could reverse retinopathy, eye doctors would be out of business by now! Diet is great to prevent it from getting worse, but you need actual medical treatment for the existing damage. Better check with your doctor.

My son has juvenile diabetes and we monitor his eyes very closely. A low-carb diet definitely helps stabilize blood sugar, but if retinopathy has already started, medical treatment is essential. Please take your child or relative to a retinal specialist right away.

I ignored my blurry vision thinking I could fix it just by drinking karela juice and dieting. By the time I went to the hospital, the damage was severe. Please don't make my mistake, go get your eyes checked by a specialist immediately.

A healthy diet rich in antioxidants is wonderful for supporting eye health, but it cannot repair damaged blood vessels in the retina. Regular diabetic eye screenings are a must. Please prioritize a visit to a specialist.

Honestly, I can barely manage my sleep, let alone a super strict diet that claims to cure eye diseases. Controlling carbs helps, but let's be real—eyes need proper medical science. Go see an eye specialist before things get worse.

I have been dealing with diabetic retinopathy for five years. Strict blood sugar control through a healthy diet stopped it from progressing, but my vision only stabilized after I received laser therapy from my doctor. Do not ignore medical treatment.

I understand wanting to solve everything naturally, but retinopathy is too serious for home remedies. A good diet is only support; the actual cure or management requires medical attention. Please see an ophthalmologist soon.
