Can dental cavities heal themselves?
I think I might have a tiny cavity in one of my back teeth, but it doesn't hurt much. I'm hoping I don't need a filling. Is it possible for dental cavities to heal themselves if I improve my oral hygiene?

True, once a cavity is fully formed it cannot heal on its own. You should visit a dentist to get a quick filling before the decay goes deeper.
No, they don't heal on their own, much like high blood pressure, you can't just ignore it and hope it disappears. Just as I keep my BP under control with proper checkups and lifestyle, you must get your teeth checked regularly to prevent serious decay.

I understand how stressful dental issues are, I used to feel so much guilt and anxiety every time I looked at my teeth. It is hard to accept, but they don't heal naturally. Taking that first step to see a doctor is scary, but you'll feel so much relief once it's fixed.
I literally just got two fillings done yesterday because I ignored a tiny cavity thinking it would go away. It definitely does not heal itself and only gets more painful and expensive if you delay the treatment.
