Can carnivore diet reverse fatty liver?

My doctor told me I have fatty liver, and I'm looking for ways to improve it. I heard about the carnivore diet from an acquaintance, who claimed it reversed his fatty liver. Can a carnivore diet really reverse fatty liver disease?

In my 70 years, I have seen many diet trends come and go. Reversing fatty liver requires cutting down on sugar and alcohol, not eating only meat, which can put a heavy load on your organs. Focus on simple, clean food and daily walks.

Beta, eating only meat is very heavy for the liver to digest. For fatty liver, drinking warm water with lemon, eating papaya, and having light home-cooked meals is much safer. Avoid these extreme diets and consult a proper doctor.

Personally, I find a high-fiber vegetarian diet with plenty of leafy greens and low fat much lighter on the liver. Eating only meat seems like it would add too much saturated fat, which might even worsen fatty liver. Please consult a dietitian before making such a big change.

While cutting out refined carbs helps fatty liver, a pure carnivore diet can sometimes increase bad cholesterol and strain your liver and kidneys. A balanced Mediterranean-style diet is globally proven to be much safer and more sustainable.

I know how stressful a fatty liver diagnosis can be, I also panicked when I first saw my ultrasound report. But please don't rush into an extreme carnivore diet out of anxiety. It is much safer to let a doctor guide you based on your liver enzymes.
