Are yasso bars good for weight loss?

Trying to lose some weight, and I keep seeing these 'Yasso bars' mentioned online as a healthy dessert option. They sound good, but I'm not sure how beneficial they really are for weight loss, especially for someone in India. Are they worth trying?

They are a decent low-calorie alternative to heavy ice creams, but remember they still contain sugar. If you eat three of them at once, it defeats the purpose. Keep it to once a week as a treat, and focus on your daily calorie deficit.

Haan na, these packaged frozen desserts are very expensive and also contain artificial sweeteners sometimes. Normal ghar ka dahi with some honey and fresh fruits is much better and cheaper, ho na.

I used to eat these 'diet' labeled sweets thinking they were healthy and ignored my rising sugar levels completely. Please get regular health checkups and blood tests done, as packaged foods can sometimes mislead us about our actual health status.

If you want sweet treats, home-made yogurt with real berries is much more natural and healthy. But if you are experiencing sudden, extreme weight gain or constant fatigue, don't just rely on diet changes—please consult a doctor to check for thyroid or hormonal issues.

My daughter wanted these for her diet, but they are quite hard to find in local stores. I started making hung curd popsicles with mango at home for her. It has much more protein, no preservatives, and she loves them.

I am new to this healthy eating journey and keep seeing these online. Do we get them easily in regular Indian supermarkets, or are they only available in big gourmet stores?

Yes, they are a good low-calorie swap for regular ice cream, just keep an eye on the total sugar content per serving.

Bro, they are okay if you are desperate for dessert, but they are too expensive in India if you buy imported ones. I just blend frozen bananas and cocoa powder instead, it's way cheaper and hits the spot.

Look, plain and simple, no packaged bar is going to magically make you lose weight. If you are in a calorie deficit, you can eat a normal small ice cream too. Don't fall for fancy branding, just control your total food intake.

They fit well into a flexible dieting approach since they are low-cal. But don't rely on them for your protein needs, as the protein content is actually quite low. Hit your main macro targets with whole foods first, then fit these in for fun.

I used them during my weight loss phase last summer to satisfy my sweet cravings. They are only around 100 calories per bar, which is great, but honestly, making my own Greek yogurt popsicles at home felt way more satisfying and kept me full longer.

Yasso bars are greek yogurt based, so they do offer a bit of protein compared to regular ice cream. However, they are still processed food. Use them as a occasional treat rather than a daily habit on your weight loss journey.
