Are walking pads good for weight loss?

Working long hours from home, I find it tough to go out for walks every day. I was thinking of buying a walking pad for my apartment. Can these actually help effectively with weight loss if used regularly?

Haan na, they are actually very useful! When it rains outside, I just walk on it at home while watching TV. It helps to complete our daily steps easily, ho na.

I bought one last year because I have a work-from-home job, and honestly, it’s a lifesaver. You can easily burn some extra calories while attending meetings. Just make sure to be consistent with it!

Haha, they are perfect for people like me who love eating momos and then need to burn off the guilt at midnight! It’s a super convenient way to digest heavy meals without leaving the bedroom.

These machines are good for people who cannot go out for walks. But if you have space nearby, walking in fresh air in a park is always the best and free of cost.

My physician recommended a walking pad to help manage my sedentary lifestyle. While it won't give you high-intensity cardio, it increases your daily NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis), which is crucial for sustainable weight loss.

They are a highly efficient tool for urban professionals to stay active. However, if you have joint or knee pain, do consult your doctor before using one, as the flat cushioning on some models can sometimes strain the knees.

It is a really gentle way to start your fitness journey. Don't worry about high-intensity stuff, just 30-40 minutes on the pad daily will make a good difference.

With PCOS, slow and steady walking is actually better than high-cortisol running workouts. A walking pad helps me get regular low-intensity movement, though I always make sure to pair it with a proper diet.
