Are sweet potato fries good for weight loss?

On a weight loss journey, and sometimes I crave comfort food like fries. Sweet potato fries are often marketed as a healthier option. Can I eat them as part of my weight loss diet, or are they still too high in calories?

Look, if you deep fry them in oil, they are not going to help you lose weight. Sweet potato itself is healthy and rich in fiber, but the moment you fry it, it becomes a high-calorie junk food. Eat them boiled or baked instead.

I tried eating various 'healthy' fried snacks during my weight loss journey and ended up with high cholesterol and digestive issues. Please be very cautious about what you eat. It is always safer to consult a qualified doctor or dietitian for a proper meal plan.

I have to be extremely careful with carbs for my diabetes, and even for weight loss, sweet potato fries are risky. Frying them adds too many empty calories. I suggest sticking to small portions of boiled sweet potatoes with fiber-rich green vegetables.

In our younger days, we used to eat roasted sweet potato with black pepper and lemon for a light stomach. That is very good for health. But frying them in oil will only increase your weight, so avoid the fried ones.

Agreed, deep-fried sweet potato is not good for losing weight. Try baking or air-frying them with a tiny drop of oil instead.
