Are squats safe during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester and used to do squats as part of my regular fitness routine before pregnancy. I want to stay active, but I'm unsure if it's still safe to do squats now. Does it pose any risk to the baby or me?

My wife was advised to do very light squats to help with normal delivery, but watching her do them made me anxious! It is safe but only if you have a wall or a strong husband to hold on to so you don't lose balance.

I was eating for two during my pregnancy and tried doing squats to burn off some of those extra kachoris! They are safe in the early months, but once the baby bump gets big, it gets really awkward. Don't push yourself too hard.

My wife ignored some minor lower abdomen cramps while doing exercises during her second trimester, thinking it was normal stretching. It turned out to be early contractions. Please stop immediately and consult your doctor if you feel any discomfort.

Yes, they are great for pelvic strength. Just use a sturdy chair for support so you don't strain your lower back.

Pregnancy complications can lead to expensive emergency room visits and tests. It's much wiser to ask your gynecologist about exercises during your routine checkup rather than risking any self-guided workouts at home.

Light squats are safe and actually helped me manage my gestational diabetes by keeping my post-meal sugar spikes in check. Just ensure you have your doctor's green light and don't do them if you feel dizzy.
