Are spring rolls good for weight loss?

I'm trying to be disciplined with my diet for weight loss, but sometimes I really crave fried snacks. I saw some baked spring rolls online. Are spring rolls, especially the non-fried ones, a good option if I'm trying to lose weight?

Beta, anything that is deep-fried in oil will not help you lose weight. In our days, we made simple steamed momos or fresh rolls at home with very little oil. Focus on eating clean, simple foods instead of these fancy fried snacks.

I used to eat 'veg' spring rolls thinking they are healthy since they have cabbage and carrots. But the refined flour wrapper and deep frying clogged my arteries and shot up my cholesterol. Please get your lipid profile checked regularly and avoid fried items.

If you love spring rolls, you don't have to quit them entirely. Just make them at home using rice paper sheets, stuff them with raw veggies and tofu, and air-fry or bake them instead of deep frying. It tastes amazing and has a fraction of the calories.

The outer cover of spring rolls is pure refined flour (maida) which causes instant blood sugar spikes, and the oil makes it worse. For anyone trying to manage weight or diabetes, this is a food you should strictly avoid.

Don't trust diet sites that call spring rolls 'healthy vegetable wraps'. They are deep-fried maida sheets. If you are serious about weight loss, consult a clinical dietician instead of trusting internet food hacks.

I totally get it, when you are dieting, you crave crispy, savory snacks so much! Unfortunately, regular spring rolls are very high in empty calories. Trying non-fried summer rolls with peanut sauce might help satisfy that craving safely.

They are usually deep-fried, so they might not be the best option for everyday weight loss. Maybe save them as a special cheat meal once in a while so you don't feel deprived.

If you are ordering from outside during office hours, skip the spring rolls. They are greasy and will make you feel sluggish. Opt for a simple paneer tikka or roasted chana if you want a quick, high-protein snack.
