Are red potatoes good for weight loss?

My nutritionist suggested including more complex carbs, but I'm trying to lose some weight. I heard red potatoes are different from regular ones. Just wondering if adding them to my diet would be a good idea for weight management.

Honestly, they are actually pretty great if you don't fry them. I lost almost 8 kgs last year and kept boiled red potatoes in my diet. Just control the portion, keep the skin on for extra fiber, and you are good to go.

I used to be so scared of eating any kind of potato because everyone says carbs make you fat. But then I read red potatoes have slightly less starch than normal ones. Still, please start with very small portions just to be safe and see how your body reacts.

Look, no single food makes you lose weight, it is all about your calorie deficit. Red potatoes are very filling and have fewer calories than white ones, so they make a great carb choice. Just stop mashing them with butter and cheese!

If you track your daily macros, you'll see red potatoes fit in perfectly. They have a lower glycemic index compared to regular white potatoes, which keeps your blood sugar stable. I usually log 100g of boiled red potatoes in my app as a clean carb source post-workout.

I have tried everything from lemon water to cabbage soup diets, but simple portion control is what works. Boil these red potatoes with a pinch of haldi and eat them cold. Cold potatoes develop resistant starch which is actually very good for your gut and weight loss.

I totally get it, weight loss cravings can make you miss potatoes so much! Don't punish yourself by completely cutting them out. You can absolutely enjoy boiled or roasted red potatoes in your salads, they are super comforting and healthy.

Why buy expensive diet foods when we have simple ghar ka khana? Just boil red potatoes, add a little black salt and lemon, and have it as an evening snack. It keeps you full for a long time so you won't reach for those oily biscuits.
