Are raisins good for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight and my mother always tells me to eat a handful of raisins for energy and iron. I'm worried about their sugar content, though. Are raisins actually good for weight loss, or should I limit them?

I pack small boxes of snacks for my daughter to keep her away from junk food. Raisins are good because they are natural and sweet, which satisfies cravings. Just don't give too many because they are high in calories for their small size.

I read that raisins are high in sugar and might actually cause weight gain if we eat too many. I got so worried because I have been eating a small bowl of them daily. Has anyone else noticed their weight stalling because of raisins?

Raisins can be part of a weight loss diet only if you control the portion size, like 10-12 pieces max. Combine this with regular physical activity like a 30-minute brisk walk daily to burn off those extra calories effectively.

They are basically concentrated sugar, so they are great for quick pre-workout energy. But for weight loss, they aren't the best because it is very easy to overeat them and consume extra calories. Whole fruits are a better option.

My mother-in-law suggests soaking raisins overnight for weight loss and digestion. While it helps with bowel movements, my doctor advised me that they still contain high calories, so we must limit the quantity to see real weight loss.
