Are probiotics safe in pregnancy?

Since becoming pregnant, I've been experiencing some digestion issues like bloating and constipation. My dietician suggested looking into probiotics, but I want to be extra careful. Are probiotics truly safe to use throughout pregnancy?

Haan na, pregnancy can make the stomach so upset. Homemade curd is totally safe and natural. But if you want to take those powder packets, please ask your doctor first.

When I was expecting, I had major digestion issues. Eating fresh home-set dahi every day really saved me. Natural probiotics are great, but do run it by your doctor once to be completely sure.

While natural foods like curd are generally safe, you should never start any over-the-counter probiotic capsule during pregnancy without asking your gynecologist. Better to play it safe for the baby's health.

Don't trust random blogs saying all probiotics are safe during pregnancy. Different strains do different things. Only take what your obstetrician explicitly prescribes for you.

I had thyroid issues during my pregnancy, so we were very strict with supplements and tests. Natural probiotics like curd are fine, but for any bottled supplement, please consult your doctor first to make sure it doesn't interfere with your regular medication.
