Are pregnant women tested for hepatitis b?

Currently in my first trimester, and my doctor mentioned a series of blood tests. Reading up online, I saw some articles about Hepatitis B testing during pregnancy. Is this a routine screening for all pregnant women in India?

Yes, they absolutely are! When I was expecting, this test was part of my very first blood panel. It's a standard procedure to keep both you and the baby safe, so nothing to worry about at all.

Yes, it is a routine test done alongside other blood screenings during the first trimester. Keeping track of these medical tests is just as important as maintaining a clean, nutrient-dense diet for the baby's safe development.

Please make sure you do all the tests the doctor prescribes. I once ignored basic health checks and ended up with complications that could have been avoided. Don't skip the Hep B test; it is crucial for protecting your baby right at birth.

Hey! Yes, Hepatitis B screening is a must-do routine test in the first prenatal visit. If a mother tests positive, we can easily give the baby a protective shot immediately after birth to prevent transmission. It's standard practice, so don't stress.

Oh, they will test you for everything under the sun, trust me! My wife had to give so many blood samples I lost count. But yes, Hepatitis B is definitely on that long list, and it's for the kid's safety.

Yes, they will steal a couple of vials of your blood for this! But jokes aside, it is standard protocol to keep the little VIP inside safe, so just let them do their job.

I was researching this online for a family member recently. It turns out almost all modern hospitals in India mandate the Hep B test during early pregnancy because it's highly transmissible to the baby otherwise.

Even decades ago, our doctors used to screen us for major infections. Today, medical science is so advanced that these routine Hep B tests ensure the baby is born perfectly healthy, so please do not worry.
