Are potatoes ok for weight loss?

Trying to lose some weight and planning my meals carefully. I really enjoy eating potatoes in various forms, but I'm worried they might hinder my progress. Can I still include them in my diet?

Stay positive and listen to your body, dear. Food is nourishment from nature, so even potatoes are beautiful in moderation when cooked simply. Take care of your mental peace first, and weight loss will happen naturally with a calm mind and clean eating.

Because of my thyroid struggles, my weight fluctuates so easily and I have to track everything. If you are trying to lose weight, please get your blood levels tested regularly first to rule out hormonal issues. Talk to your doctor to see how potatoes fit into your personalized nutrition plan.

I have seen many people completely quit eating potatoes when trying to lose weight, which is not really necessary. The trick is preparation. Boiled or baked aloo with some roasted cumin powder is very satisfying and keeps you full for a long time, so you won't overeat later.

Bruh, I'm a college student living in a PG and aloo is literally the cheapest thing I can buy. I've been eating boiled potatoes for dinner to save money and lose some weight, and honestly, it works because they are so filling. Just don't add tons of butter to them.

I just completed my 15 kg weight loss journey last month and honestly, I never stopped eating potatoes. I just stopped deep frying them in oil. Boiled aloo in salads or light dry sabzi with minimum oil worked perfectly for me and kept my energy levels high during workouts.

Aloo is actually highly misunderstood, poor guy gets blamed for everything! As long as you aren't eating them as french fries with extra cheese, boiled potatoes are surprisingly filling. So don't banish them from your kitchen just yet, they aren't the villain!
