Are peanuts fattening for weight loss?

My friends say that peanuts are very high in calories and can make you gain weight easily. I'm trying to lose weight, so I want to know if I should avoid them completely or if a small portion is okay for my diet.

They are only fattening if you eat them like snacks from a big packet while watching TV. A small handful of roasted peanuts is actually very good for keeping hunger away. Just control the portion and you will be fine.

Nutritionally speaking, peanuts are high in fat and calories, but they also offer significant protein and fiber. Whether they are fattening depends entirely on your total daily caloric balance. A consultation with a qualified dietician can help you find the right balance.

If you have thyroid issues, your metabolism is already slow, so high-calorie foods like peanuts must be eaten with extra caution. Make sure to keep up with your regular thyroid tests and consult your physician about your exact snack limits.

Honestly, if I open a packet of salted peanuts, there is zero self-control left in me. They are delicious but definitely fattening if you eat them by the cupful like I do when I am working late nights. Stick to counting them out!

In our household, we always prefer eating roasted chana and peanuts instead of bakery biscuits. Peanuts are very good for energy. Just dry-roast them at home without excess salt or oil, and they won't make you gain weight.

Peanuts contain monounsaturated fats which are healthy for the heart and can actually support weight loss by keeping you satiated. However, they are energy-dense, so limit yourself to 20-30 grams a day. If you have any metabolic concerns, do consult your doctor.

I used to get so stressed and anxious about every single calorie in nuts, thinking they would make me fat instantly. But peanuts are actually very healthy in small quantities. Don't worry, a small handful won't ruin your hard work.

I always feel like peanuts make me feel bloated and bloated-looking the next day. Does anyone else feel like their weight temporarily goes up after eating them, or is it just my anxiety playing tricks?

I can only speak from my own weight loss journey. I used to swap my evening samosa with dry-roasted peanuts and it actually helped me lose 5 kgs because I stopped craving junk. It worked well for me as long as I didn't overeat.

In my youth, we ate plenty of groundnuts during winters and stayed perfectly fit because we worked hard. Peanuts are not fattening if you are active. Just keep moving, do your daily chores, and enjoy them in limit.
