Are pancakes good for weight loss?
I really enjoy having pancakes for breakfast, especially on weekends. I'm also trying to lose weight these days. Are pancakes, perhaps with healthy toppings, actually good for weight loss?

Regular pancakes made with maida and butter are definitely not going to help with weight loss. However, I make healthy pancakes for my daughter using oats powder, mashed banana, and a little milk. It is a great way to give them a healthy treat without all the extra calories.
Normal pancakes are a bit of a diet spoiler, let's be honest! 🥞 But you can easily make a weight-loss friendly version using protein powder and egg whites. Just skip the chocolate sauce and you are good to go! 💪
Man, I wish they were! If pancakes helped with weight loss, I would be a fitness model by now. Sadly, all that maida and syrup will only make you want to take a three-hour nap. Better to avoid them if you are trying to fit into your old jeans.
Don't worry too much about completely giving up your favorite foods. While regular pancakes aren't ideal for shedding weight, you can easily swap the refined flour for ragi or oats. Just keep the portion size reasonable and don't starve yourself.
Standard pancakes have a lot of refined flour which might slow down your weight loss. If you enjoy them, maybe try making them with whole wheat or oats flour once a week. Take it easy on yourself, small changes make a big difference.

Absolutely not, if we are talking about the traditional ones. They are loaded with simple carbs, sugar, and fat, which is a disaster for weight loss. If you want to lose weight, stick to high-protein breakfasts like eggs or paneer bhurji instead.
