Are olives a healthy snack for weight loss?

I'm working on losing weight and always on the lookout for healthy snack alternatives. I enjoy eating olives sometimes, but I'm not sure if they are a good choice when trying to shed kilos. Are olives a healthy snack for weight loss?

They do have good fats, but if you have underlying issues like thyroid, sudden weight changes can be tricky. It's always a good idea to get your TSH levels checked and ask your doctor about your salt intake before eating processed olives daily.

Olives are amazing if you crave something salty and savory instead of sweet. I throw a few black olives into my salads or even eat them raw, and it totally kills my midday junk food cravings without too many calories!

I used olives during my weight loss journey and they work, but you have to watch the portion. Since they are preserved in brine, they have a lot of sodium which can cause water retention. Stick to just 4-5 olives a day.

My teenage daughter is also working on her fitness and weight. She loves having a few olives with a slice of paneer for her evening snack. It is clean, filling, and much better than the chips or biscuits she used to eat.
