Are fig bars healthy for weight loss?

My friend who's quite health-conscious suggested fig bars as a good snack if I'm trying to lose weight. I'm trying to cut down on junk food. Are fig bars genuinely healthy and helpful for weight management?

They are a very convenient option when you are busy at work and need a quick bite, but they still contain a lot of sugar and flour. If you want to lose weight, it's better to eat actual dried figs (anjeer) with some almonds instead of these processed bars.

I tried eating fig bars as a healthy snack last year, but I noticed they were very sweet and didn't really help with my weight goals. I switched to eating raw, soaked figs in the morning, which suits my body much better.

Don't get fooled by the 'healthy' labels on packaged fig bars, dear. Most of them have added sugars and refined flour which can actually slow down your weight loss. Try making your own date-and-fig energy bites at home if you can.

I agree that they aren't the best choice. They are usually high in calories, so eating whole fruit or whole figs is much better.

Figs (anjeer) are wonderful for digestion and health, but when they are processed into sweet bars, they lose their natural goodness. Stick to raw figs, apples, or a handful of roasted chana for a truly healthy, pure snack.
