Are condoms safe enough to prevent pregnancy?

My boyfriend and I are trying to be careful about not having an unplanned pregnancy right now. We use condoms, but sometimes I get worried if they are truly safe enough on their own. Do I need to worry, or are they quite effective?

They are super reliable if used correctly, kind of like how a proper recipe never fails! Just make sure you check the expiry date and don't rush things in the heat of the moment.

Yes, they are highly effective, around 98% when used perfectly. But in real life, slippage or tearing can happen, so many couples pair them with another method like tracking fertile days or birth control pills for safety.

They are indeed very safe and also protect against infections, which other methods don't. My gynecologist friend always recommends them as the primary choice for young couples.

They are safe as long as you don't keep them in your wallet for three years before using! Just use a good brand, make sure it fits right, and you should be perfectly fine.

They are safe, but don't ignore proper usage rules. We once had a tear because we didn't use it properly and had to rush for emergency contraception. Be careful and read the instructions.

I get so anxious about accidental pregnancies even when using them! They are safe, but if you worry constantly like me, combining them with the pull-out method or safe-period tracking helps calm the nerves.
