Will vitamin b12 help with hair loss?

I've noticed a lot more hair falling out lately, especially when I comb it. My friend told me that sometimes hair loss can be due to a vitamin deficiency. Will taking Vitamin B12 supplements help with hair loss?

When I noticed hair loss, I totally panicked and started looking into everything! If your hair loss is *due to* a Vitamin B12 deficiency, then yes, supplementing it will help. But it won't fix hair loss caused by other issues. Get your B12 levels checked first, that's what my doc said, and it turned out mine were fine. Don't worry, many causes are treatable.

Only if your hair loss is *because* of a B12 deficiency. I had a severe deficiency once, and it caused various problems, including hair issues. Don't just start taking supplements without knowing your levels. Get a blood test first. Self-diagnosing and supplementing without need can be harmful, please consult a doctor.

My doctor explained that Vitamin B12 plays a crucial role in cell division and red blood cell formation, which impacts hair growth. So, if you have hair loss and a diagnosed B12 deficiency, then yes, supplementing will definitely help. But if your B12 levels are normal, it won't magically solve hair loss caused by genetics, stress, or other hormonal issues. Get tested first.

Blessings to you. If your hair loss is due to a lack of Vitamin B12, then yes, it can certainly help to replenish it, as this vitamin is vital for your body's functions. Remember to take care of your inner peace as well, as stress can also affect hair. Consult with a wise doctor to guide your path.

For sure, if your hair loss is linked to a Vitamin B12 deficiency, then taking supplements will definitely make a difference! It's super important for healthy hair. But first, you gotta get your levels checked to see if that's even the issue. Otherwise, it might be something else. Wishing you bouncy, healthy hair!
