Will pcos affect pregnancy?

I have PCOS and we are trying for a baby. I'm worried about complications. Will having PCOS affect my pregnancy, like increasing the risk of miscarriage or other issues? I want to be prepared.

I totally get why you're asking this, it's a big concern for many women. Yes, PCOS can affect pregnancy, potentially increasing risks for gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, and even premature birth. But with careful management and close monitoring by your doctor, many women have healthy pregnancies and babies.

This is exactly what I worry about! I have PCOS and the thought of pregnancy is so scary because of all the potential issues. Has anyone here gone through a pregnancy with PCOS? What was your experience like, did you face a lot of problems or was it manageable?

Beti, with PCOS, your body needs extra care, especially when expecting. The old women used to say 'take care of your body like a temple', and this is even more true with such conditions. While doctors are best, eating healthy and staying calm are important. Definitely talk to your doctor about how to manage it throughout pregnancy.

PCOS can create challenges, as the body's hormonal balance is already delicate. During pregnancy, this requires even more mindful care. While I can't give medical advice, practicing gentle yoga and pranayama can help manage stress and support overall well-being, which is crucial during pregnancy, especially with PCOS. Always consult your gynecologist.

Yaar, actually, it can. My friend has PCOS and during her pregnancy, doc was super careful about everything. There can be risks like gestational diabetes and BP issues, so proper monitoring is super important. But she delivered a healthy baby, so it's manageable.

Yes, PCOS can potentially lead to complications like gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and a higher chance of C-sections. It's very important for pregnant women with PCOS to have regular check-ups and follow their doctor's advice closely to manage these risks. Don't skip your appointments.

Oh, PCOS. That's a gift that keeps on giving, isn't it? Affects everything, even pregnancy! From what I hear, you need to be extra careful, manage blood sugar, and definitely listen to your doctor more than usual. Parenthood is hard enough without extra challenges, haan?
