Will a pregnancy test be negative with an ectopic pregnancy?

My friend recently had an ectopic pregnancy, and it sounds so scary. I'm worried about it. If someone has an ectopic pregnancy, would a normal home pregnancy test still show negative, or would it be positive?

Oh, ectopic pregnancies are so scary. Usually, a pregnancy test *will* be positive because HCG is still produced. But it might be faint, or your symptoms won't match a normal pregnancy. Don't try any home remedies for this, please see a doctor immediately if you suspect anything.

Normally, an ectopic pregnancy will still show positive on a test because the body thinks it's pregnant. But if you have pain or weird bleeding, forget home remedies, you MUST go to the hospital. This is serious, doc ke paas jao please.

No, usually the test will be positive, but maybe not as strong as a normal pregnancy. I had an ectopic, and my home pregnancy test was positive, but I felt really sharp pain on one side. The doctor confirmed it with an ultrasound. Don't ignore any pain.

It's a serious concern, so please get it checked. Generally, pregnancy tests detect the HCG hormone, which is usually present even in an ectopic pregnancy. However, symptoms like pain are very important to watch for.

Usually, pregnancy tests would still be positive. Ectopic pregnancy is a medical emergency, so if you have any symptoms like severe pain, get to a hospital. Your physical health needs immediate attention, much more than any workout.

Oh my god, this makes me so worried. So the test can be positive even if it's ectopic? How would you even know then? Did anyone else feel like there was something wrong even with a positive test? I get so stressed thinking about these things.

From what I've heard from friends who went through it, their tests were positive, but the doctor later confirmed ectopic due to other symptoms. I think it's always best to talk to a gynaecologist about anything like this, my experience is limited to just hearing about it.

Please, if you have any doubt, see a doctor immediately. I ignored some minor pains once thinking it was nothing serious, and it turned into a much bigger problem. With something like ectopic pregnancy, every minute counts. Don't make my mistake; get a full checkup.
