Will a ovulation test detect pregnancy?

My period is a few days late, and I've been feeling a bit nauseous. I have some ovulation test kits at home from when we were trying to conceive earlier. Can I use an ovulation test to check if I might be pregnant?

Not really. Ovulation tests look for LH surge, pregnancy tests look for hCG. Different hormones, different purposes. Focus on your health and well-being, but for pregnancy, use a proper pregnancy test.

From my experience, no. I tried using an ovulation test once when I suspected I might be pregnant and it was negative, but a proper pregnancy test was positive a few days later. They are designed for different things, so better to use the correct one.

Nah, I don't think so, yaar. Like, ovulation tests check for one hormone and pregnancy tests for another. My friend actually made this mistake once and got confused. Just get a pregnancy test, it's safer.

Beta, it's always best to use the right tool for the right job. Ovulation tests are for knowing when you're ovulating, pregnancy tests are for detecting pregnancy. Don't rely on one for the other. And remember, regular checkups are key for any health concern.

Definitely use a proper pregnancy test. Ovulation tests aren't designed for pregnancy detection.

It's generally recommended to use a pregnancy test if you suspect you might be pregnant. Ovulation tests are for fertility tracking, they look for a different hormone. Hope this helps you.
