Will 10mg of lexapro cause weight gain?

I've started taking Lexapro 10mg for depression. I'm trying to be mindful of my health and weight. Is there a chance that this dose of Lexapro could lead to weight gain?

Regarding weight gain, it varies. If it does happen and you are worried, you might need to adjust diet or exercise. Track your weight regularly, perhaps even talk to your doctor about monitoring metabolic panels if needed. Don't let it become an expensive problem later on.

When my daughter was on a similar medication, she did experience some changes in appetite and a little weight fluctuation. The doctor said it can happen, but not for everyone. It's important to keep an eye on your eating habits and discuss any concerns with your doctor, they can guide you best.

Lexapro can sometimes cause weight changes, both gain or loss, but it's not a given for everyone. I've heard some friends say they gained a little, others didn't. It really depends on your body. The best thing is to talk to your doctor, they know your case specifically.

Yaar, with these kinds of meds, sometimes weight gain is a side effect, sometimes not. It's actually very individual. Best to check with your prescribing doctor, they can tell you what to look out for and manage it if it happens. Don't stress too much about it before talking to them.
