Why is it so hard to lose weight with pcos?

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago, and losing weight has been an absolute struggle, no matter what diet or exercise I try. It feels like an uphill battle all the time. Why is it so much harder to shed kilos with PCOS?

PCOS makes weight loss challenging due to insulin resistance, hormonal imbalances, and inflammation. These factors can increase fat storage and make your body less efficient at burning calories. It's crucial to work with a doctor and a dietitian for a tailored plan, as general diet advice might not be effective.

PCOS is a complex condition with hormonal implications, so losing weight isn't a simple fix. Don't fall for every 'miracle cure' online. The best approach is always medical. Consult your gynecologist or an endocrinologist for accurate information and treatment.

A close friend of mine has PCOS, and she always talks about how hard it is for her to manage her weight, even with strict diets. She says her body just doesn't respond the same way as others. It's definitely a battle for her.

Oh, tell me about it! I also have PCOS, and it feels like I gain weight just by looking at food. The insulin resistance makes it tough, and the hormonal imbalances just add to the struggle. It's super frustrating, but trying to focus on balanced meals and regular walks helps me a little bit.

PCOS causes hormonal imbalances like insulin resistance, making weight loss much harder than for others.

PCOS is like that sneaky friend who keeps adding extra calories to your plate when you're not looking! 😉 It messes with your hormones and insulin, making your body cling to weight. But don't lose hope, consistency and doctor's advice are your best buddies! 💪
