Why do i get cavities when i brush my teeth?

I'm diligent about brushing my teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. But it doesn't seem to be helping much because I still get cavities fairly regularly. I'm really confused. Why am I still getting cavities when I brush my teeth properly?

Brushing is fundamental, but cavities are multifaceted. Factors like your diet, genetics, the natural pH of your saliva, and even specific dental anatomy can contribute. It's crucial to have regular check-ups with a dentist; they can identify the specific reasons and advise on a comprehensive prevention strategy.

Yo, this happened to me too! I was like, what's the point of brushing then? My dentist said it's probably because I was eating too much sugary stuff and also not flossing well enough between teeth. Brushing alone isn't always enough, man.

It's like a fitness routine, you can exercise but if your diet is bad, results are slow. Same with teeth. Brushing is just one part. Track your sugary food intake and see if that correlates. Also, maybe get an electric toothbrush, some people find them more effective. A dentist will give precise guidance after checking.

Don't feel discouraged, it's not always a reflection of poor hygiene. Sometimes, cavities can form due to factors beyond just brushing, like your diet, genetic predisposition, or even dry mouth. Ensure you're also flossing daily and visiting your dentist for regular check-ups to catch things early.

Yeah, I've read that even if you brush, certain areas can be missed, or your diet might be high in hidden sugars. Plus, the bacteria in everyone's mouth are different. It's a complex process, not just a simple cause-and-effect with brushing.

My grandmother always told us to rinse our mouth well after every meal, not just brush twice. But even with good habits, cavities can happen. It's better to consult a good dentist, they can see your teeth and tell you exactly why you are facing this problem.
