Why am i so itchy during pregnancy?
I'm in my third trimester and my skin has become incredibly itchy all over my body. It's worse at night and really disturbs my sleep. Is this normal during pregnancy, or should I be worried?

Itching during pregnancy can range from benign causes like skin stretching and dryness to more serious conditions like obstetric cholestasis. While mild itching is common, persistent, severe, or widespread itching, especially without a rash, absolutely warrants a consultation with your obstetrician for proper diagnosis and management.
My friend went through this, it was so annoying for her! Her doctor said it's mostly due to hormones and dry skin. She swore by really good moisturizer and cool showers. Also, try wearing loose cotton clothes. But if it's really bad, definitely tell your doctor, okay?
A little bit of itching is common during pregnancy due to stretching skin and hormonal changes. Try applying aloe vera or coconut oil for relief. However, if the itching is severe, especially on palms and soles, or gets worse at night, please see your doctor immediately. It could be cholestasis, which needs medical attention.
I totally get how frustrating and uncomfortable constant itching can be, especially when you're already going through so much during pregnancy. It's hard to ignore. Just know you're not alone in experiencing this, but definitely bring it up to your doctor.
