Which protein shake is best for weight gain?

Been trying to put on some weight, especially muscle mass, for a while now. A friend of mine who works out told me protein shakes can help. Can anyone suggest which protein shake is good for gaining weight?

Hi, I'm new to this. I want to gain some healthy weight too. Are these mass gainer shakes okay to have every day? And do they have any side effects? I'm a bit scared to try them without knowing properly.

For weight gain, you're usually looking for a 'mass gainer' shake, not just a regular protein shake. These have a higher calorie count due to added carbs and sometimes healthy fats, along with protein. Look for brands that have a good nutrient profile and not just empty sugars. Also, remember to combine it with solid meals and proper exercise for healthy gain.

As someone managing diabetes, I have to be very careful with any shakes, especially for weight gain, as many are loaded with sugar. If you are diabetic, or even pre-diabetic, you absolutely must check with your doctor or a dietician before consuming any weight gain shake. Look for low glycemic index carbs if possible, but honestly, whole foods are always safer.

For weight gain, usually 'mass gainer' shakes are recommended, as they have more calories from carbs and fats. However, if you have high BP, please be careful about the sugar and sodium content in these shakes. Always check the labels and ideally, discuss with your doctor or a dietitian. They can advise what's safe and effective for your health.

Yaar, for weight gain, you need serious calories. Normal protein shake won't cut it. Look for a good mass gainer. My friends use Optimum Nutrition or Myprotein. Blend it with milk, banana, and some oats. Trust me, it helps a lot, especially after a heavy gym session. But don't forget to eat proper meals too!

I have thyroid issues, so my weight fluctuates a lot. For weight gain, it's not just about the shake but also ensuring your thyroid levels are stable. If you're considering a protein shake, look for a mass gainer that provides balanced nutrition. But most importantly, consult your endocrinologist and a nutritionist. They can guide you best for your specific condition.

I can't tell you the 'best' one, that's for a doc to say. But I've seen my friends who wanted to gain weight use mass gainers, not just regular protein. They would blend it with milk, banana, and peanut butter to add even more calories. It seemed to work for them with proper workout.
