Type 2 diabetes often develops later in life, and can sometimes be managed with diet and exercise initially, saving on medication costs. But regular checkups, like HbA1c, are essential and budget for those tests.

Yaar, with Type 2, your body actually makes insulin, but either not enough, or it doesn't use it properly (insulin resistance). It's quite common in adults, especially with lifestyle factors. Not like Type 1 where there's no insulin production at all.

For Type 2, sometimes it's about your body not responding to insulin properly, meaning those gulab jamuns might not be processed as easily! 😅 It often comes with lifestyle, so balancing tasty food with healthy choices becomes a real art.

I had Type 2 for many years and didn't take it seriously enough, which led to kidney problems. What's unique is you can sometimes reverse it with drastic lifestyle changes early on, but once complications set in, it's very difficult. Please consult a doctor for a proper plan.

A key aspect of Type 2 is often insulin resistance, which means diet plays an even more crucial role. Focusing on low glycemic index foods, whole grains, and plenty of vegetables can really help manage it, sometimes even without medication if caught early.
