Type 1 diabetes means your body doesn't produce insulin at all, and it usually starts in childhood or young adulthood. I once brushed off my intense thirst and weight loss as stress, which was a huge mistake. If you see classic symptoms like frequent urination, increased thirst, and unexplained weight loss, get it checked immediately. Don't ignore it.

Haan, Type 1 diabetes mein body insulin banati hi nahi hai. Woh autoimmune condition hoti hai na. Aur aksar bachpan ya jawani mein hi pata chalta hai. Life long insulin lena padta hai.

It's an autoimmune condition where the body stops making insulin. It typically develops early in life.

It can be really anxiety-inducing to think about diabetes, especially Type 1. But it's good to know the facts. With Type 1 diabetes, the body's immune system attacks the cells in the pancreas that make insulin. So, it's total insulin deficiency, and daily insulin injections are a must. My child has it, and managing blood sugar, diet, and injections is a daily routine.
