Which mattress is good for back pain?

I wake up with a stiff back almost every morning, and it's really affecting my day. I think it's time for a new mattress. Can anyone suggest which type of mattress is good for back pain?

Hey! Don't stress too much about it, finding a mattress is a process. My sister had severe back pain and her physiotherapist recommended a medium-firm orthopedic mattress. It helped her so much! Maybe you can try one of those and see how it feels.

For back pain, a supportive mattress is definitely key. Many guys at my gym swear by memory foam, but not the super soft ones. Also, remember that strengthening your core and glutes with exercises helps a lot with back health. Combine a good mattress with proper movement.

Haan, I've been there with the back pain and mattress hunt. What I found is that a good coir mattress with a top layer of foam provides enough firmness and comfort. Don't go for anything too soft, your back needs firm support to align properly. Try to lie down on a few before you buy.

I'm also researching mattresses for my dad's back pain. So many options, it's confusing! Most reviews point towards orthopedic or memory foam (not too soft). Wishing you luck with your search!

Honestly, everyone will suggest something different online. What works for one might not work for another. It's best to consult an orthopedist or a physiotherapist first. They can actually assess your back condition and suggest the right type of mattress for you, instead of relying on random advice.

A firm orthopedic mattress is generally best for back pain, it keeps the spine straight. Make sure you also maintain a healthy lifestyle, check your posture, and get regular health checkups. Back pain can sometimes be aggravated by other health issues.
