Which is worse lupus or rheumatoid arthritis?

My sister has lupus and her friend has rheumatoid arthritis, and they both deal with a lot of pain. I often hear them discuss their symptoms. Can someone tell me, in general terms, which of these two conditions, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, is considered more severe or 'worse'?

Honestly, both are serious auto-immune conditions. You really shouldn't compare 'worse' because both need proper medical attention. Home remedies can help with minor aches, but for something like this, a specialist is a must. Please consult a rheumatologist.

Hey there! 🤔 Both are tough, but lupus can affect many more organs beyond joints, making it a bit more complex. RA is mostly joint-focused, though it can spread. Best to discuss with a doc for proper diagnosis! ❤️

Both are chronic and can be debilitating. It really depends on the individual case and how aggressively they progress.

Oh, I totally understand why you're asking this. My aunt had RA and it was quite challenging. Lupus can be really tricky because it affects different people so differently. The main thing is to get a diagnosis as early as possible. Don't rely on self-diagnosis; these conditions need expert care.

From what I've learned, both diseases require careful management, including diet. With RA, anti-inflammatory foods can sometimes help manage symptoms, but for lupus, the dietary needs can be even more specific depending on organ involvement. Pls speak to your doc and a nutritionist.

Hey! Don't stress too much trying to figure out 'worse'. Both are serious autoimmune issues. What's important is getting a proper diagnosis and treatment plan if you or someone you know is showing symptoms. Self-diagnosis is a big no-no here, yaar!

I don't have direct experience with lupus, but my grandmother has rheumatoid arthritis and it really impacts her daily life, especially her hands. It's a progressive disease. For lupus, I've heard it can be very unpredictable. Definitely consult a specialist to understand better.
