If you have back pain, don't compromise on your bed. Get a medium-firm orthopedic mattress. It's an investment, but worth it for your sleep and spinal health. Avoid very soft or very hard beds. Most importantly, consult a physiotherapist; they can guide you based on your specific back issue.

A lot of people ask this! For back pain, a medium-firm orthopedic mattress is generally considered good. It supports your spine without being too hard or too soft. Coir mattresses can be good too, but make sure they aren't too rigid. The best advice is to actually lie on different beds in the store for a few minutes to see what feels right for your body.

I used to have terrible back pain, and my old mattress was definitely making it worse. I changed to a memory foam mattress that's not too soft, more on the firm side. For me, it made a big difference. I can't say it will work for everyone, but my own experience was positive with a supportive, firm-ish mattress.

Earlier, we just slept on hard beds, thinking it was good for the back. But now with all these new types, it's better to choose wisely. My doctor told me a medium-firm one, which gives good support but also has some cushion, is ideal. Don't get something that makes your back sink in too much. Take your time choosing, it's for your comfort and health.
