Which antihistamine does not cause weight gain?

I've been taking antihistamines for my allergies, but I've noticed I'm putting on some weight. My cousin told me some antihistamines don't cause weight gain. Is this true, and if so, which antihistamine does not cause weight gain?

Honestly, I've used a few antihistamines for allergies, and I've never really noticed weight gain from them. I usually just take whatever the chemist recommends for a cold. But if you're worried, best to ask a doctor, they know the specific compounds.

Accha, weight gain is a common concern with many meds. For antihistamines, I think some newer generation ones are supposed to be better in that regard. But you don't want to just pick any, right? Talk to a doctor, see what they recommend based on your budget and health. No point buying expensive ones if simple ones work.

Oh, another thing to worry about with medicines! My list of 'don't-wants' keeps growing. For antihistamines, I always end up feeling sleepy, forget weight gain. I think the newer ones are supposed to be better for both. But honestly, at my age, I just take what the doc gives and hope for the best, haha.

This is a good question, especially for those of us already struggling with weight management due to conditions like PCOS. While some antihistamines are less likely to cause weight gain, it's never a guarantee for everyone. I'd definitely recommend checking with your doctor or allergist to find the best option for you, without assuming any specific one is completely 'safe' from side effects.

Haan, weight gain ka tension toh rehta hi hai. For antihistamines, I think newer ones like Allegra or Zyrtec are less likely to cause drowsiness and maybe less weight gain too, na? But har body alag hoti hai, so doctor se confirm kar lena. Better to be safe.

Namaste. While I believe in natural ways to boost immunity, sometimes medicine is needed. For antihistamines, some people find newer ones like fexofenadine or loratadine don't cause as much drowsiness or weight changes. But always consult a doctor, they can guide you best for your body type. Deep breathing can also help manage allergy symptoms naturally.

My mother used to say, 'everything in moderation'. For medicines, though, it's different. Some of the newer generation antihistamines are generally said to have fewer side effects like weight gain. But each person's body reacts differently. Please consult your doctor for personalized advice; they know your history best.
