Which age group is most likely to suffer from diabetes?

My father has diabetes, and now my brother is also showing some symptoms. I'm wondering, which age group is generally most likely to suffer from diabetes in India? Trying to understand the risk factors better.

From what I've seen in my family and friends, diabetes often appears in middle age, maybe 40s or 50s, but honestly, it's becoming more common even in younger people now. I try to keep my sugar in check, but that's just my personal habit, not advice for anyone else.

Dude, it used to be mostly older people, like our grandparents' age, you know? But now with all the junk food and sitting around, I hear even young adults and teens are getting it. So basically, everyone needs to chill on the sugar. My professor keeps telling us.

Hello! Traditionally, Type 2 diabetes was seen more in individuals over 45, but unfortunately, due to changes in lifestyle and diet, we are now seeing an increase in younger adults and even adolescents. Type 1 diabetes, of course, usually starts in childhood or young adulthood. So, while older groups are still at high risk for Type 2, it's becoming a concern across many age groups now. Regular check-ups are key!

For Type 2 diabetes, the risk increases significantly after age 45, but we've seen it in much younger people now, including children. My child was diagnosed with Type 1, which usually happens in younger ages. So, while specific types target different groups, it's really important for everyone to be aware of their diet and activity. Don't take it lightly for any age.

Traditionally, Type 2 diabetes was more common in older adults, like 45+! But now, sadly, it's affecting younger and younger people too because of lifestyle. So, while older groups are still high risk, it's kinda everyone's concern now! 🤷‍♀️ Stay healthy! ✨
