Where is the thyroid located in the human body?

I heard on the news about some research related to the thyroid gland and metabolism. I'm interested in knowing more about human anatomy. Where is the thyroid located in the human body?

I can only tell you that when my aunt had her checkup, the doctor pointed to the base of her neck, right in the front, saying that's where the thyroid is. It looked like a small, butterfly-shaped area there.

Yaar, the thyroid is actually right in your neck, at the bottom front. Like, if you touch below your Adam's apple, that butterfly-shaped gland. Pretty cool how such a small thing does so much, na?

Isn't the thyroid gland right at the base of your neck, in the front? I always get a bit worried when I feel my neck. Does anyone else get a strange sensation there sometimes, or is it just me overthinking?

The thyroid gland is in your neck, right at the front, below your voice box. It's a small but very important gland. Simple blood tests can tell you a lot if you're concerned. No need for fancy stuff initially.

The thyroid gland is at the very base of your neck, in the front. It's shaped like a butterfly. Knowing where it is can help you understand discussions with doctors better, especially for us women since thyroid issues are quite common. So useful to know!
