Where is the liver located in the human body?

My dad's health check-up mentioned his liver. I'm trying to visualize it and understand its importance. Where is the liver located in the human body? Is it close to the ribs?

The liver is in the upper right abdomen, under the rib cage. Important organ. If you're busy and have a concern, schedule a quick online consultation with a GP. Saves time and gets you initial advice without the commute.

The liver is in the upper right part of the body, just below the ribs. My grandfather always said eating good fresh food helps. But if you have pain or concern, it is always wise to consult a doctor for proper diagnosis, that is the most reliable way.

I was also wondering this the other day! From what I understand, it's on your upper right side, protected by your ribs. It's quite a central organ for a lot of body functions.

It's located on the upper right side of your abdomen, beneath the diaphragm and protected by the lower ribs. Take care of yourself.

The liver is on the upper right side of the stomach, right below the rib cage. My son once had a minor liver issue, and the doctor pointed to that exact spot. If you're concerned about your liver, please see a pediatrician if it's for a child, or a general physician for an adult.
