When to worry about creatinine levels in pregnancy?

My recent pregnancy blood tests showed my creatinine levels are a bit higher than normal. The doctor said they'd re-check, but I'm getting nervous. At what level or stage should one really start to worry about creatinine levels during pregnancy?

Hi, I'm also pregnant and I've heard about creatinine but don't know much. Is there a specific number where it becomes concerning? My doctor hasn't mentioned it yet, but now I'm curious.

Creatinine? Sounds like something a superhero would have, haha. But seriously, my wife was worried about everything during her pregnancy. The doc told us that if the levels are really high, then it's a concern. Otherwise, relax, pregnancy already has enough 'levels' to worry about!

Oh God, another thing to worry about in pregnancy? My brain cells are already running on fumes. I think my doctor just mentioned keeping an eye on kidney function generally. If your doc isn't freaking out, maybe you shouldn't either. But then again, I also sometimes forget my own name.

I had slightly elevated creatinine in my second trimester. My doctor monitored it closely. It becomes a concern if it's consistently above the normal range for pregnant women, or if there are other signs of kidney issues like high BP or protein in urine. Definitely follow up with your OB/GYN and ask them to explain your specific numbers. Hydration also plays a role.

My mother-in-law always says during pregnancy, listen to your body and your doctor. Creatinine levels are about kidney function, so if they are consistently high in your blood tests, your doctor will usually explain what it means. Don't google too much, it just causes unnecessary worry. Your doctor is the best person to guide you.

If you are with a good hospital, they will already be monitoring all your vitals including creatinine. The key is to ask your doctor directly, 'Is this level normal for my pregnancy stage?' and 'What should we do if it changes?' Don't hesitate to ask specific questions. That's what they are there for.

With PCOS, I've learned that every body is different, especially in pregnancy. Creatinine levels indicate kidney health, which is very important. If your levels are abnormal, even slightly, it's wise to discuss it thoroughly with your doctor. They might recommend further tests or dietary changes. Don't self-diagnose based on general info.

It's good to be informed, but don't stress too much. If your doctor has seen your reports and isn't worried, then try to trust that. They will tell you if anything needs attention.
