When to wear compression socks during pregnancy?

My legs have started feeling quite heavy and a bit swollen since my second trimester. My sister suggested wearing compression socks. Is there a specific time or stage in pregnancy when one should start wearing them, or when it's most beneficial?

It's always best to check with your gynecologist before starting any new aid during pregnancy, including compression socks. They can tell you if you actually need them, what type, and for how long. It’s better to be safe and get personalized advice.

Bahut garmi lagti hai pairon mein, toh subah uthte hi pehen lo. Aur jab ghar ka kaam khatam ho jaye, toh nikaal do. Ya phir jab tumhara doc bole, tabhi peheno. Aaram milta hai beti, swelling kam hoti hai. God bless.

Dekho, agar pairon mein sujan ya dard ho raha hai pregnancy mein, toh compression socks pehenna shuru kar do. Subah uth kar peheno, din bhar pehno. Raat ko sote waqt nikal do. Simple. Lekin doctor se ek baar puch lena kaun se type ke chahiye.

While diet can help with swelling during pregnancy (like reducing salt), compression socks are more of a physical aid. Many pregnant women find them helpful if they experience leg swelling or varicose veins, especially if they are on their feet a lot. But you should definitely consult your doctor to ensure they are right for you and to get the correct compression level.

I totally get how uncomfortable swollen legs can be during pregnancy. Many women start wearing compression socks when they notice swelling or discomfort in their legs and feet, typically in the second or third trimester. It's often recommended to put them on in the morning before swelling starts, and wear them throughout the day. But always check with your gynecologist first for personalized advice.

Oh, the joys of pregnancy! If your feet feel like balloons by evening, then it's probably time to try them. My doc recommended them when my ankles started disappearing. Just make sure to get the right size and compression, otherwise you'll just be fighting with them all day. Good luck, you'll need it!
