When to take pregnancy test after unprotected intercourse?

My partner and I had unprotected intercourse recently, and I'm quite anxious about it. I want to take a pregnancy test as soon as possible. How many days should I wait after unprotected intercourse before taking a home pregnancy test for an accurate result?

As a friend with some medical knowledge, I'd say after unprotected intercourse, you need to wait for a while for the pregnancy hormone (HCG) to show up. Don't rush it. The earliest you can reliably test is about 10-14 days after the intercourse, but it's even more accurate if you wait until your period is actually due or a day or two after it's missed. That reduces the chance of a false negative.

After unprotected intercourse, it's best to wait. The pregnancy hormone needs time to build up. Take a test around 10-14 days after, or even better, on the day your period is due. This helps ensure accuracy. Don't worry too much, just follow the recommended time.

While I believe in nature's way, for confirming pregnancy, you need proper tools. After unprotected intercourse, it takes about 10 days for the embryo to implant and HCG to start producing. So, the earliest you can test is 10 days, but for a truly reliable result, it's best to wait until your period is actually late. If you're stressed or have concerns, a doctor is always the best person to consult.

Hey! After unprotected intercourse, it can be a really anxious wait, I get it. You need to wait for the body to produce enough HCG. Generally, you can take an early detection test about 10-14 days after the intercourse. But for the most accurate result, it's always best to wait until your period is actually missed. Testing too soon just gives you confusing results and more stress!

Look, for something as important as pregnancy, don't rely on random internet advice. You need to wait at least 10-14 days after unprotected intercourse for a pregnancy test to be even remotely accurate. The best time is after your period is actually missed. Always confirm any positive result with a doctor. Don't waste time and emotion on inaccurate early tests; verify with a professional.

My gynaecologist advises that after unprotected intercourse, it takes roughly 6-12 days for implantation to occur, after which HCG production begins. For a home pregnancy test to be reasonably accurate, it's best to wait until at least 10 days post-intercourse. However, for maximum accuracy, waiting until the day your period is due, or even a few days after a missed period, is ideal as HCG levels will be higher and more easily detectable.
