When to stop taking omega-3 in pregnancy?

My doctor advised me to take Omega-3 supplements for my baby's development. I'm nearing my due date now. Is there a specific week or month when I should stop taking Omega-3 during pregnancy?

Generally, omega-3s are beneficial throughout pregnancy and even during breastfeeding for baby's brain development. There isn't a typical 'stop date' unless your doctor advises otherwise, perhaps closer to delivery if you're on very high doses due to blood thinning concerns. Confirm with your Gynae.

Oh, this is another one of those things that make me overthink everything! I read somewhere that it's good for baby's brain. But yes, always ask your specific doctor. They'll tell you if your brand/dose is fine or if there's any reason to stop, especially near delivery.

See, omega-3 is generally considered good for pregnancy and baby's brain. Most doctors tell you to continue. Only if you have a special condition or are on blood thinners, then your doctor might say to stop near delivery. Don't stop on your own.

My older sister took omega-3s throughout her pregnancy and even after when she was breastfeeding. Her doc never told her to stop. I think it's one of the safe ones you can keep taking unless there's a specific issue.

Hah, I was just happy if I remembered to take *any* pill during pregnancy! Omega-3 is usually one of the good guys, so unless your doc tells you otherwise, keep taking it. Less stress about one thing, more stress about finding comfortable shoes! 😂

Omega-3s are usually a green light all throughout pregnancy and even postpartum for breastfeeding moms! 💚 They're great for baby's development. Just check with your doc if you have specific concerns, but generally you're good to go! ✨

In good hospitals, doctors usually advise continuing omega-3s throughout pregnancy. My wife's doctor even recommended continuing during breastfeeding. But if you have specific health conditions, you need to ask your doctor clearly about the timeline.
