When to go to er for fever child?

My 2-year-old has had a high fever for the last two days, and the home remedies don't seem to be helping much. I'm worried about him and wondering at what point I should rush him to the emergency room, especially since it's late night now.

With kids, a fever is always worrying. If your child is under 3 months old and has any fever, go to the ER immediately. For older kids, if the fever is very high (above 104°F/40°C), or if they seem unusually sleepy, are having trouble breathing, have a rash, or are very irritable, it's safer to take them to the ER. Always consult their paediatrician.

Oh, my nephew gets fevers sometimes and it's always a scare for my sister! For a child, if they're very young (under 3 months) and have ANY fever, you should go to the ER. For older kids, if the fever is super high and not coming down, or if they're having trouble breathing, are confused, or have a strange rash, then don't wait, please take them to the ER.

For kids, especially infants, fever is a big concern. If your baby is under 3 months and has a rectal temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, go straight to ER. For older children, if they have a very high fever, are extremely lethargic, show signs of dehydration, develop a rash, have trouble breathing, or have a seizure, immediate ER visit is necessary. Always follow your pediatrician's specific advice.

My mother always said to keep a close eye on children. For a fever in a child, if it's very high or if the child is very dull, not playing, or not drinking fluids, then it is important to take them to the ER. Especially if it's a young baby. Always trust your doctor's judgment, even if family gives other advice.

When my son had a high fever and wasn't eating or drinking anything for a day, we immediately took him to the hospital. They said it was good we came. So, if your child seems really unwell, or lethargic, just go to the doctor without thinking too much.

Bhai, if it's a small baby with fever, no thinking, just straight to the hospital. For older children, if the fever is not breaking even with medicine, or if they are breathing fast, getting blue lips, or not waking up easily, then ER. Don't take chances with children.
