When to give tdap in pregnancy?

My sister-in-law told me about getting a Tdap vaccine during her pregnancy, and I'm also expecting. My doctor hasn't brought it up yet, so I wanted to ask when is the usual time in pregnancy to get the Tdap shot?

From my own experience, my gynaecologist recommended the Tdap vaccine during my third trimester, around 27-36 weeks. It's to pass on protection to the baby for whooping cough. But this was based on my doctor's advice, so please ask yours.

Oh, this is important! My sister-in-law was told to get it in her last trimester, usually after 27 weeks. It helps protect the baby from pertussis right after birth. While home remedies are good for little things, for vaccines, doctors really know best. Don't miss this one.

Ah, these things are so much more advanced now. Back in my time, we didn't have all these specific vaccines. But I always tell my daughters, if the doctor recommends it for the baby's safety, especially for something like whooping cough, just go for it. They usually give it around the 7th or 8th month.

In our family, we always listen to the doctor for vaccinations during pregnancy. My daughter was advised to take the Tdap shot in her third trimester, around 28-32 weeks, to keep the baby safe from whooping cough. It's for the baby's protection, so please follow your doctor's specific timing.

As a parent, I can tell you it's usually given in the third trimester, like between 27 and 36 weeks. My wife got it then. It's mainly to protect the newborn from pertussis before they are old enough to get their own shots. Just make sure to get it done as advised by your gynae.

While I focus a lot on prenatal nutrition and healthy eating, some things are purely medical. The Tdap vaccine in pregnancy is one such thing. Most doctors recommend it during the late second or third trimester to ensure immunity passes to the baby. Diet is important, but so are vaccines for specific protections.
