When to do pregnancy test after miscarriage?

I recently went through a miscarriage, and it's been a very difficult time. My doctor mentioned I should take a pregnancy test again sometime. When is the right time to do a pregnancy test after a miscarriage to confirm everything is back to normal?

I'm actually curious about this too for a friend. I read that hormone levels can stay elevated for a while after a miscarriage, so a test might show positive even if you're not pregnant again. It seems like it's best to wait until your period returns or get a blood test from the doctor. Is that right?

After a miscarriage, it's a tender time. It's generally advised to wait for your regular period to return before taking another pregnancy test. Please consult your doctor for personalized advice and support.

Yaar, after a miscarriage, your body takes time to reset, no? Actually, HCG hormones can stay in your system for a few weeks, so a test might give a false positive. Best to wait till your next period is due, or just check with your doc. They'll know exactly when. Take care, okay?

Behan, it's a very difficult time after a miscarriage, take care of yourself first. For testing, it's best to talk to your doctor. They will tell you when your body is ready and when it's okay to try again or check. Don't rush these things, health is most important.

Just like managing high BP needs regular checks, this also needs proper medical guidance. After a miscarriage, it's crucial to consult your gynecologist. They will monitor your hormone levels to ensure everything is back to normal before you think about another test. Don't rush, your body needs to heal completely.

My health tracker app actually has info on this. It says hCG levels can take weeks to return to zero after a miscarriage, so testing too soon can be misleading. It's usually recommended to wait until you've had at least one normal menstrual cycle, or follow your doctor's specific guidance for monitoring hCG decline.
