When to contact doctor about pregnancy?

My husband and I just found out I'm pregnant with our first child, and we are thrilled! We've already booked our first doctor's appointment. However, I was wondering, when should you really contact a doctor about pregnancy – right after a positive test, or is it better to wait for specific symptoms or a certain week?

Once you get a positive home pregnancy test, that's your cue to call the doctor. They'll schedule your first prenatal appointment, usually around 6-8 weeks of gestation. Early contact ensures you get proper guidance on diet, supplements like folic acid, and avoids any potential risks from the start. Don't delay.

The moment you confirm a positive pregnancy test, it's good to reach out to a doctor. They can guide you on initial lifestyle adjustments, gentle prenatal yoga if suitable, and ensure a harmonious start to your pregnancy journey. Early care supports both mother and child's well-being.

As soon as you confirm pregnancy with a home test, book an appointment with your gynecologist. They'll do a blood test to confirm, calculate your due date, and start you on necessary supplements. Don't delay, early prenatal care is very important for a healthy pregnancy.
