When is gender decided in pregnancy?

My wife is pregnant, and we are just curious about the baby's development. We were wondering, at what point during pregnancy is the baby's gender actually decided or determined?

The gender of the baby is decided at conception, at the very moment the egg and sperm meet! It's determined by the chromosomes from the sperm. While diet is crucial for a healthy pregnancy, it doesn't influence the baby's gender. Focus on wholesome, nutritious meals for overall well-being.

The gender of the baby is actually determined at the moment of conception, when the sperm fertilizes the egg. It's purely genetic. You typically find out around 18-20 weeks during your anomaly scan, but the decision is made much, much earlier. Don't believe any old wives' tales about influencing it!

Hello! The gender of the baby is decided at the moment of fertilization, during conception itself. It depends on whether the sperm carries an X or a Y chromosome. You can usually find out during the anomaly scan (ultrasound) around 18-20 weeks of pregnancy. It's a natural genetic process.

Actually, the baby's gender is decided right when the egg and sperm meet at conception! It's all down to the chromosomes. You typically get to know the gender during your mid-pregnancy ultrasound, around 18-20 weeks, if you choose to find out. It's a big reveal for many parents!

The baby's gender is decided right at conception, when the sperm and egg combine. It's all about chromosomes! You usually find out during the mid-pregnancy ultrasound, around 18-20 weeks. I remember being so anxious to know with my first, but it's completely normal, and your doctor will tell you when they can see it clearly.

The gender is decided at the very beginning, at conception, based on the chromosomes from the sperm. It's not something that changes later. You usually get to know during your anomaly scan between 18-20 weeks. I used to overthink everything during my pregnancy, but this part is purely scientific and predetermined.
