When is a good time to announce pregnancy?

My husband and I just found out we're expecting, and we're so excited! We want to tell everyone, but some people say to wait a bit. What's usually considered a good time to announce pregnancy to family and friends?

For us, we waited until the end of the first trimester, around 12-14 weeks. By then, the initial risk is lower, and you've had your first scans. It felt like a safe time to share the good news with family and close friends. Practical, you know.

Oh, this is such a personal and often anxiety-inducing decision, I totally get it. Many people wait until after the first trimester, around 12 weeks, because the risk of miscarriage significantly drops then. But truly, it's when *you* feel comfortable and ready to share your news.

For me, I told my close family right away, but for a wider announcement, I waited until I was past 3 months. It felt right to share once I had seen the baby on the scan and felt more confident. Everyone does it differently, though.

Most of my friends and I waited until after the 12-week mark. You usually have your first ultrasound and everything feels a bit more 'real' and secure by then. Plus, by then the morning sickness might be easing up too, so you actually *feel* like celebrating!

It's generally advised to wait until after the first trimester, around 12 to 14 weeks, when the critical development period is mostly over. This is when the risk of early complications reduces. Always consult your doctor on what they recommend based on your health.

I was so worried about announcing too early! From what I understand, waiting until you've had your first scan and are past the 12-week mark is often suggested because the risk decreases then. It felt safer for us to share when we had some reassurance from the doctors.

Ho na, people usually wait till after the first trimester, like 12 weeks. That's when the early risks are lower, and you've had your initial check-ups. It gives some peace of mind before telling everyone.

The common consensus is to wait until the end of the first trimester, typically after 12 weeks, as the risk of miscarriage drops significantly then. However, it's a very personal decision. Always best to discuss with your obstetrician for tailored advice based on your health.
