When does tailbone pain start in pregnancy?

I've started experiencing some discomfort in my tailbone area, especially when sitting for long periods. I'm pregnant and wondering if this is related. At what point in pregnancy does tailbone pain typically begin?

Yo, my sister had this. She said tailbone pain can start kinda early, like second trimester, but for most, it gets worse in the third. It's because of hormones loosening up joints and the baby putting pressure. Not fun, but pretty common apparently.

Tailbone pain can definitely be bothersome in pregnancy, often starting in the second or third trimester due to hormonal changes and the expanding uterus. While diet doesn't directly cause this pain, maintaining stable blood sugar levels is always important for overall comfort and health. If it gets severe, consult your doctor.

Haan ji, tailbone pain toh bohot logon ko hota hai pregnancy mein. Mostly second ya third trimester mein start hota hai jab weight badhta hai aur ligaments loose hote hain. Mereko bhi hua tha, baithne mein bohot dikkat hoti thi. Doctor ne bola tha cushion use karo. Theek ho jaata hai delivery ke baad.

My son's delivery was a bit difficult, and I had tailbone pain for ages during that pregnancy! It started around my second trimester, maybe 20-24 weeks, and definitely got worse in the third. Using a donut cushion for sitting really helped. And warm compresses.

Tailbone pain, or coccydynia, in pregnancy is quite common and can begin anytime in the second or third trimester. It's primarily due to the relaxation of ligaments and increased pressure from the growing uterus and baby. While often benign, persistent or severe pain warrants a consultation with your gynaecologist, who might recommend physiotherapy or specific pain relief strategies.

I'm already feeling some weird aches, and the thought of tailbone pain just adds to the worry! Does it usually start suddenly, or is it a gradual thing? Did anyone else feel it from the second trimester? It sounds so uncomfortable.

Tailbone pain sounds so awful, I'd be constantly worrying if I had it! It typically starts in the second or third trimester, as your body changes to prepare for birth. Don't just try to tough it out; talk to your doctor for strategies to manage it and get some relief, even small things can make a difference.
