When does stomach harden during pregnancy?
I'm in my second trimester, and my stomach sometimes feels quite firm. Is this normal? When does a pregnant woman's stomach start to feel noticeably hard?

Oh, the 'stomach hardening' phase! For my wife, it was mostly in the second and third trimesters. Feels like a basketball, right? 😂 Sometimes Braxton Hicks contractions can make it hard too. Just another one of those pregnancy surprises.
When does the stomach harden? Usually just when you're trying to find a comfortable sleeping position, and then BAM! Hard as a rock. 😂 Seriously though, for me, it was mostly from the second trimester onwards, especially with Braxton Hicks. It's normal, but still a weird feeling.
I've been thinking about this too, it sounds a bit alarming if you don't know what it is! The stomach can start feeling harder generally from the second trimester as the uterus grows and the baby gets bigger. Braxton Hicks contractions also make your stomach feel hard temporarily. If it's accompanied by severe pain or regularity, though, definitely check with your doctor.
My friend just told me her stomach feels hard sometimes. Is that normal? Does it happen mostly in the later months? And is it different from just feeling bloated? Hope she's okay.

Stomach hardening? Oh, that's just your body preparing to host a tiny human in a very snug apartment! 😂 It usually starts becoming noticeable in the second trimester, around 20 weeks, as the uterus expands. And then the Braxton Hicks contractions make it feel like a rock sometimes. It's totally normal, don't worry!
